Fridgeful, including the Fridgeful iOS application and related services (collectively, the “Service”), is owned and operated by NANOFILING LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and your rights regarding your personal data when you use the Service.

By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Information you provide directly:

• Account information: name, email address, and password when you register
• Profile data: dietary preferences, allergens, calorie goals, and other settings you configure
• Inventory data: ingredient names, quantities, and expiry dates you enter or photograph
• Food logs: meals, portions, and nutritional data you record
• Grocery lists: items you add, check off, or remove
• Photos: images of food, receipts, or fridge contents you upload for AI analysis
• Support communications: messages you send to our support team

Information collected automatically:

• Device information: device type, operating system version, unique device identifiers, and app version
• Usage data: features used, screens viewed, session duration, and interaction patterns
• Crash and diagnostic data: error logs and performance metrics to help us fix bugs
• Approximate location: derived from IP address for region-specific features (we do not collect precise GPS location)

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and operate the Service, including AI-powered meal recommendations, nutritional analysis, and grocery list sync
• Personalize your experience based on your dietary preferences and food history
• Process photos through our AI models to identify ingredients and estimate nutritional content
• Send transactional communications such as account confirmations and support responses
• Send optional product updates and feature announcements (you can opt out at any time)
• Analyze aggregated, anonymized usage patterns to improve the Service
• Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents
• Comply with legal obligations

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information with:

• Service providers: Third-party vendors who help us operate the Service (e.g., cloud hosting, analytics, AI model infrastructure, and customer support tools). These providers access your data only to perform services on our behalf and are contractually required to protect it.
• Apple: Subscription and payment information is processed through Apple’s App Store and governed by Apple’s privacy policy.
• Legal and safety: When required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of Fridgeful or others.
• Business transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred to the successor entity. We will notify you if your data becomes subject to a materially different privacy policy.

5. Photos and AI Processing

When you photograph food or your fridge, the image is transmitted securely to our servers for AI analysis and then deleted from our temporary processing pipeline. We do not use your food photos for model training without your explicit opt-in consent. Analyzed results (e.g., identified ingredients, estimated calories) are stored in your account to power the Service.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or legitimate business necessity (e.g., fraud prevention records, legal hold). Aggregated, anonymized data may be retained indefinitely.

7. Security

We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, access controls, and regular security reviews. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The Service may contain links to third-party websites or integrate with third-party services. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third parties. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you use.
